Look, we know it's not the Olympics. But part of the fun of the Commonwealth Games is uncovering the little gems from obscure athletes who wouldn't get a look in at the IOC's Big Dance. Take Mohamed Tholley, for instance, Sierra Leone's mountain biking icon who comes to Glasgow after a brief run-in with over-zealous officials earlier in the year. Tholley was understandably jubilant when he pedalled over the line to win the 2014 National Cycling Picnic Race. His victory was aided by the fact he felt sick during part of the race and travelled by car before mounting up for the final assault. Our Sierra Leone sources tell us he's already checking bus timetables as he goes for gold in Scotland.
