Competitors arrived from Cardiff, Northmead, Pennant Hills, Harbord, Victoria, Toronto, Wenty Leagues, Uralla, The Entrance, Wyong and Picnic Point.
But after two days of wonderful weather and great friendship, Jason Morse, Keeden McGuire and Keith Stephenson, from Tuncurry and Forster took out first place. In second was Harbord team Dennis Taylor, Mick Brelins and Graham Tetsall and in third was the Toronto team of M Gorsuch, J Gorsuch and J Snowden.
In the Men’s Minor Pairs Quarter Finals, M Ball and G Scanlon defeated G Salmon and W Campbell.
A Hughes and L Haydon defeated R Selmes and S Main, V McGlashan and R Peirce defeated R Flaxman and H Burnett, R McMillan and M Churchill defeated G Down and D Russell.
The semi finals will be played in the coming weeks. Entries for the Minor Club Singles are now open - see the notice board.
The Social Club held their Christmas in July party last Saturday and one can only say what a night - wonderful entertainment, good food and great company.
There will be a bowls Friendship day on August 3. This will be a fun day with ten pin bowls first followed by lunch then a game of bowls. The cost is $12 per person. Booking sheets are at the bowls office.
