A MOTHER and her newborn baby, missing from the Port Stephens area, were found safe and well on Friday evening.
The 34-year-old woman disappeared after giving birth to a baby boy yesterday on Thursday August 9.
Both mother and child attended a local medical centre on Friday evening and were examined by medical staff but believed to be safe and well.
Police from Port Stephens Local Area Command were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing.
