A MAN died following a crash near Forster on Saturday.
About 12.45pm a Skoda sedan, carrying five people, was travelling south on Burraneer Road, Coomba Park when it collided head on with a Nissan Navara.
Police from Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command and other emergency services responded and found an 89-year-old male passenger from the Skoda deceased.
Two adult female passengers from the Skoda suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for treatment. A 16-year-old boy in the front passenger seat received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The 64-year-old female driver of the Skoda was taken to Manning Base Hospital. Her injuries are unknown.
The 60-year-old driver of the Navara was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
