The inflatable statue was put up in the lead-up to a seminar to be hosted by the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Forster, titled ‘Ancient Mysteries Revealed’ on Friday.
This massive man is apparently not the biggest to have been on display, with one up to 90 feet tall also available, but unable to be put up in Forster.
The statue is a representation of a dream recorded by Daniel in the Bible, in which he describes a statue with a head of gold, arms and chest of silver, stomach and thighs of bronze and legs of iron and clay. The statue is said to represent the dominant kingdoms to rise after Babylon (symbolised by the gold): Persia in silver, Greece in bronze, Rome in iron and clay (to represent the strength and weakness of the empire.
This prophecy is used by believers as a testament to the Bible’s authenticity as a holy text.
