THE Manning River Summer Festival Triathlon is on this weekend and there’s still time to enter.
Official entries close on Friday and after this a $15 late fee applies if you want to race on Sunday.
In Forster you can find entry forms at Forster Surf and Sport, Manning Shoe Store (at both Forster and Stocklands), Stacks Forster, The Professionals Forster, Saltwater Wine Forster and at the Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
Forms are also available from the Forster Triathlon Club website: www.forstertriclub.com.au.
Organised by the Forster Triathlon Club, the race will be held at Cundletown conducted over a 500m swim, 20km ride and a 5km run course.
It will start at 7am and competitors will need to register at the Kendall Reserve on River St between 5.45am and 6.45am.
The Saltwater Wine Swim will be a deep water start in the Manning River adjacent to the boat ramp at Kendall Reserve while the Pedal Power cycle is a two-lap course which will be monitored with road safety personnel and follow the bridge to Dumaresq Island.
The Manning River Times run follows the bike course and is relatively flat.
The Cundletown course can cater for up to 150 competitors. This is the third year the club has hosted the event as part of the Manning River Summer Festival.
Race director and president of the Forster Triathlon Club Richard Sewell is pleased with the number of entries already in, with a range of locals, visitors, beginners and old hands all ready to enjoy the morning.
