SEVENTEEN Forster juniors hit it out on the courts for round two of the Junior Development Series at the weekend.
Staged over three venues, Forster, Twin Towns and Taree Tennis Clubs, it was well patronised with competitors making the trip from as far as Coffs Harbour.
“All competitors are to be congratulated on another successful day, with particular thanks to the parents and coaches who make such an effort and continually give of their time in order for all juniors to be able to participate,” Sharon Chambers said.
“All our boys, with the exception of U10s, were at Taree for the day and once again endured another hot one.
“Well done on a top effort by all who entered.
“It was a little cooler at Forster where U16s players Tayla Wilson, Yasmin Gillies and U10s player Ashleigh Chambers made it through to the semis.
“Terrific effort girls. It was great to see our younger juniors having ago with Laia Pasini, Maddi Palmer, Braedan Lee, Lachlin Jones and Jaxson Chapman sporting their stuff. We hope to see you all at the next one.
“Have a little rest now, but practice hard, round 3 is Sunday, March 7 at Kempsey.
“It would be great to see lots of our juniors there supporting not only this competition but our club.”
