AB Concrete Pumping surged to the top of the men’s grading table after an impressive victory over Forster Surf and Sport in round two of Twilight Football.

AB’s mixture of fast and exciting youngsters and skilled older heads, who understand the importance of controlling possession, won them the game.

Their speed in defence meant that Forster Surf and Sport had very little time on the ball and were struggling to string more than a handful of passes together. Once in possession AB kept the ball for long periods of time and then cut through their opponents with a superb passing game that saw them rifle home eight goals.

Defending men’s champion, Mick Perry Concreting, have also had a strong start to the competition and sit just behind AB on goal difference.

Last years ladies champion, Perry’s Girls on Top, looks like it will again be the team to beat following a 13-0 mauling of the Carlsburgers. After two rounds, Perry’s Girls and Gecko Maintenance are the only two ladies sides with an unblemished record.
