Hallidays Point B Grade played last year’s winner Taree Leagues.

Leagues won the toss and batted first but didn’t start well with Michael Clarke and Grant Rowley tearing their top order to shreds, Clarke 3/10 from 8 overs and Rowley 3/30 from 8 overs.

Reece Clifton came on late and took 3/15 and Sam Wear 1/21 from 7 overs to have them all out 132.

Hallidays didn’t start well either with Mark Taylor out first ball, but that was the only wicket to fall.

Michael Clarke excelled also with the bat 119 not out. 92 of those runs came from boundaries.

Grant Rowley supported Clarke at the other end with a fine 16 not out.

Hallidays winning convincingly 1/136 in an amazing 13 overs.

Well deserved man of the match went to Clarkey who now holds the prestigious title as the first player to score a century for the Hallidays Point Club since the club was established in 2008.

A great win with our bowling and fielding improving each week.

Next week we look forward to playing the boys from Mt George at Bob Collier.

Training as usual Thursday 4pm to 7pm at the Diamond Beach Net.

- Captain Quacker AKA Mark Taylor.
